Three Years in Kosovo

On Thursday, April 16, Wise Women will meet in the CAR (room over the gym) at 6:15 pm for registration. The program will begin at 6:30. This is a RSVP event. Please text me at (757) 650-5787 if you interested in attending.
This month we are fortunate to have author, Dina Greenberg.
Fulbright US Scholar Dina Greenberg’s project in Kosovo explored how the Albanian moral code of “besa” inspired families to rescue Jewish refugees transiting Yugoslavia during the Holocaust. During her three months in Kosovo, Dina gathered powerful personal stories and visited historical sites which have transformed into her books. She has honored a legacy of bravery and humanity.
The book, 'Nermina's Chance', was her first.
Dina will have books available, for purchase, that evening.
As always, an important aspect of our Circle is the desire to pay it forward by collecting a small donation ($10 suggested) to support a local charity, which will be Mother Hubbard's Cupboard.
Please Note: We are still in cold and flu season. We do everything we can to make this a safe environment but ultimately it is up to each individual. Masks are optional and if you are not feeling well, please stay home. We will also have air filtration units in place. Please no perfumes. Looking forward to seeing all of you lovely ladies on Thursday.
