All Club Managers, Class Instructors and volunteer CAR Inspectors:

Thanks to all of you, the CAR remains in very good condition despite its frequent use. Thank you for your ongoing efforts to keep things in proper shape. 

We have identified one area that needs additional attention. Scuff marks and scratches have accumulated on the stairway walls leading to the room, probably as a result of people unintentionally letting equipment or supplies hit the walls as they transport things up and down the stairs. 

We hope to reduce further damage so that we can delay the necessity for an expensive repainting of the entire stairwell. One helpful step has already been accomplished: Sarah vonRosenberg took the initiative to wash or "magic erase" the walls - which has definitely improved the appearance! Yay Sarah!

We have two ways you can assist in meeting our objective:

Club Managers and Class Instructors: please take extra care, and urge your participants as needed, when carrying things on the stairs that might scuff walls

CAR Inspectors: if you don't already, please include the stairway in your inspection routine and note any new scuff marks when you fill out the log sheet
