Hello to all,

 

Unfortunately I am cancelling the August 8th Jam Session.  Many people in the Club will be out of town or not able to attend the Jam scheduled for August 8th.  This includes some key people that help with sound and set up.

 

The good news is that I have reserved the CAR and added to the River Bluffs event calendar Jam Session Dates For September 10th, October 28th and December 12th.

 

I will publish emails for these dates. I will also post songs that we will be prepared to play with chord charts and words. 

 

New Format for future jams.  There will be a large white board set up as you walk into the CAR.

The board will look something like this.  Sign up in the appropriate box and you will be in that set.  You can sign to a set as an individual or if you would like to play with others you can sign in together in the same set.  I ask that we fill up the first few sets first.  Please do not sign into multiple sets. After you play your set you are welcome to sign into the next set only if there is an opening and no one else to fill it.  So after you play you can only sign in to the next set one set at a time to leave room for any other musicians that may show up during the Jam.

This is intended to give everyone an opportunity to play and not feel like they are displacing someone else.

 

Each set will be 4 songs and then anyone signed up for the next set will take the stage.  From there all are welcome to fill in spots that are not filled in even if they played in a previous set.

 

If you have a friend that is a musician you are welcome to invite them. Just ask them to adhere to the format described here.
